Business Description

Business Purpose
To certify the performance of water and wastewater materials and products that are difficult to include in existing performance certification systems (such as KS certification and group standards), thereby supporting water industry companies in entering the market and contributing to the safety of water and wastewater facilities.
Items Subject to Certification
  • Water supply materials and products installed in general or dedicated water supply systems that do not fall under Items 1 to 5 of Article 24-2(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Water Supply and Waterworks Installation Act.
  • Materials and products used for sewer installation that do not fall under Items 1 to 10 of Article 10(2) of the Enforcement Decree of the Sewerage Act.
Certification Method
Assessment of the applicant’s manufacturing facility regarding technical production conditions and evaluation of whether the product meets the required quality criteria.

Current Operation Status

As of September 2025, the certification system is operated for 47 items of water and wastewater materials and products, with established conformity standards and review criteria for each item.

※ When necessary, new items may be designated and standards may be newly established or revised through Review Committee deliberation and decision.
